About

I am Dr. Navni Sharma, an academician and researcher in the field of Pharmaceutics, currently based in Edmonton, Alberta. I hold a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from Chandigarh University, India, and a Master’s degree from ASBASJSM College of Pharmacy, I.K.G. Punjab Technical University (PTU), India. I am also a registered pharmacist with the Punjab Pharmacy Council and have a strong foundation in pharmaceutical sciences, focusing on drug delivery systems, nanotechnology, and healthcare access.

With over five years of teaching experience at institutions such as Himachal Pharmacy College, Chandigarh University, and The ICFAI University, I have contributed significantly to curriculum development and student mentoring. My teaching expertise covers Pharmaceutics, Microbiology, Dosage form design and Pharmacognosy, and I have been fortunate to guide students through hands-on experiments and projects, especially in the formulation of various dosage forms.

My research interests are deeply rooted in nanotechnology, pancreatic cancer, ligand binding, natural ligands, targeted drug delivery, ligand-receptor binding, and using cell lines for drug development. I have had the opportunity to publish several research papers and reviews in prestigious journals, focusing on innovative solutions to complex healthcare problems. One of my proudest achievements is the publication of a patent for a novel cancer therapy treatment (Patent Number: 202411043839).

Currently, I am seeking postdoctoral and research positions in the pharmaceutical industry. I am eager to leverage my expertise in nanotechnology, targeted drug delivery, and cancer therapies to contribute to research and development efforts that can lead to better healthcare solutions and outcomes.
