About
Dr. Shailesh Kumar Patidar (also known as Shailesh Patidar and S.K. Patidar) is an applied phycologist and environmental microbiologist trained in CSMCRI, Hanyang University and University of Michigan. Dr. Shailesh specializes in algal biotechnology and synthetic ecology, with a strong emphasis on enhancing algal biofuels, carbon sequestration and sustainable biomaterials for environmental and energy applications. His research seamlessly integrates multiple disciplines, including omics, environmental chemistry, synthetic biology, and synthetic ecology. Currently, Dr. Shailesh is exploring the integration of nanotechnology and advanced biotechnology to develop tailored materials/nanomaterials and energy solutions from microalgae, driving innovation in sustainable technologies. Apart from above, he is also attempting to tap the potential of microbial chemical communications for gaining the desired functional traits of the algal materials.Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in Department of Environmental Science, Central University of Rajasthan, India.
