About

Dr Manjula. R received her Bachelor's degree (B.E) in Electronics and Communications Engineering, and Master's (M.Tech) degree in Computer Network Engineering from Visveswaraya Technological University, Belgavi, Karnataka, India, in the year 2002 and 2006 respectively. She has completed her PhD work in the department of Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering, IIT Kharagpur, West Bengal, India. Currently she is working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Computer Science and Engineering at SRM University AP, Amaravati.

She has few publications in various national and international conferences and journals. Two chapter publications in Integrated Innovations+ 2010, and one chapter in Integrated Innovations 2009, Wipro's Mission10X. She is also CCNA certified associate and recipient of the Cambridge Certificate in “Teaching and Learning”, Mission10X (This is one among the 120 recipients throughout India, as of 2011).

Manjula is a Senior IEEE member. In the past she served as branch counsellor for Student Branch and WiE Student Branch affinity group, IEEE, BITM, Ballari, 2017-2019. Also, as the Vice-Chair for IEEE Women in Engineering Affinity Group at Kharagpur Section for the year 2014. In addition she has also volunteered several IEEE and non IEEE events at IIT Kharagpur during her research period.

She also serves as a reviewer for various international journals and magazines such as IETE Journal of Technical Review, Journal of Internet Technology and ISACA's Subject Matter Expert etc. She has also received the best paper award during WITS’06 - State Level paper presentation contest, Bijapur, Karnataka, India and the best talk award in the WiE competition "Talk it up" - a three-minute challenge" held during the international symposium - Techsym 2016, IIT Kharagpur, India. She is actively involved in various services related to academics.
She also received Outstanding Large Chapter award presented to WiE Affinity Group, in recognition of the outstanding contribution to the IEEE Bangalore Section in the year 2019. Presented by IEEE Bangalored Section during AGM 2019 (as Group award); Best Volunteer – GOLD award for outstanding contribution to IEEE Women in Engineering (WiE) Affinity Group, Bangalore Section during the year 2019, presented by IEEE WiE Affinity Group, Bangalore Section; and Outstanding Medium Student Branch Counselor award during AGM'20, organized by IEEE Bangalore Section—Jan, 2020.


Her research interests includes contextual privacy, data aggregation, and energy optimization in Wireless Sensor Networks.
