About

Arvind Singh is presently working as Associate Professor in Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmdedabad, India. After completing his PhD from PRL, he worked as a Nippon Foundation (NF) - Partnership for Observations of the Global Ocean (POGO) Scholar at Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences, Bermuda until May 2011. He later joined University of Gothenburg, Sweden as a postdoctoral fellow and worked there until 2012. He was a postdoctoral fellow in GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel, Germany during 2012-2015. His research interests lie in biogeochemical cycles of carbon and nitrogen in the ocean and atmosphere, stable isotopes in the marine environment and oceanographic time-series studies. He is an Editor of JGR-Oceans, DST-Swarnajayati fellow, Ministry of Earth Sciences Young Scientist award, member of INYAS, POGO-SCOR fellow, Swedish Institute fellow, and INSPIRE (DST) fellow. He teaches ocean biogeochemistry and error analysis courses to the graduate students at PRL, and regularly gives invited lectures on climate change and hydrosphere to masters and Earth Science Olympiad students in India.
