About
I am an economist — environmental economics as my core field — studying how climate extremes, the energy transition, and policy responses to them reshape welfare, time allocation, and inequality in India and across Asian economies. My research evaluates the policy frameworks of climate governance — carbon pricing, disaster risk reduction and relief, renewable-energy deployment, and risk transfer — integrating microeconomic theory with applied econometrics, spatial analysis, and satellite-derived climate data, an approach rooted in my interdisciplinary PhD at IIT Kharagpur. I have published ten Scopus-indexed papers and hold active research engagements with the World Bank and ICSSR. In 2026 I was awarded the Fulbright–Nehru Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Michigan.
I take interest in interdisciplinary research like Climate, Water, Energy, because it has practical implications and is heavily policy-relevant.
I have some software and coding knowledge of (but not limited to) R, STATA, MATLAB, EViews, ArcGIS.
