About
Valerie Taly is CNRS research Director (DR1), Group leader at Cordeliers research center/University of Paris (Translational research and microfluidics group) and former deputy director of MEPPOT research INSERM team. She is President, CSO and co-founder of METHYS Dx that develop innovative solution for the follow-up of cancer patients. She is also co-founder of emulseo company. Her research focuses on developing innovative technologies for cancer research based on microfluidics in strong collaboration with oncologists and clinicians. In particular, her group has been pioneer in the development of droplet based digital PCR to detect tumor genetic and epigenetic alterations as well as on the applications of the develop technologies to clinically relevant questions. A large part of her research is also focusing on identification of new biomarkers for diagnosis and patient’s follow up. In addition, the group also develops single cell technologies and tissue engineering with the aim of understanding tumor heterogeneity and resistance acquisition. Within others, she has nominated member of CSS6 INSERM commission, FWO interdisciplinary panel (Belgium) and member of several steering committees (DIM ELICIT, GDR microfluidics, etc.).
