Dr. A. Charan Kumari is an experienced academic and researcher currently serving as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Agra. With over 25 years of teaching and research experience, she specializes in machine learning, deep learning, metaheuristic optimization techniques and search-based software engineering. She has an extensive publication record with over 45 journal articles, 5 book chapters, and 18 international conference papers, many of which focus on real-world applications of AI across domains. She has also contributed to editorial and reviewing activities and has served as a reviewer for reputed journals and conferences.
Dr. Kumari’s recent research has explored the use of machine learning and deep learning models for predictive analytics in diverse domains, including software effort estimation, disease prediction, plant pathology, and smart infrastructure. Her focus on practical and interpretable applications of ML has led to the development of novel classification models, including ViT-based systems, with a commitment to ensuring real-world usability. She has guided doctoral research in related areas and maintains a strong interest in integrating AI techniques into business and industry contexts.
She has been recognized as an invited speaker at the 43rd CREST Open Workshop at University College London and at the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) Stakeholders’ Conclave, where she shared insights on achieving sustainability through AI—reflecting her commitment to bridging research with real-world impact. Her experience in applied ML research and interdisciplinary collaborations directly aligns with the objectives of her current monograph, which addresses the application of machine learning techniques in commercial environments.
