About
Dr. Vivek Kumar obtained his Ph.D. in Nano Science and Technology (Nanoelectronics/Electronic Materials and Devices) from Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna, in 2024. He completed his M.Tech. in Nano Science and Technology from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, in 2012, after earning his B.Sc. in Engineering in Electronics and Communication Engineering from MIT Muzaffarpur under B.R.A. Bihar University in 2008.
Dr. Kumar’s research interests include the fabrication of hydroelectric cells for portable green electricity generation, electronic materials, spinel ferrites, hexaferrites, and condensed matter physics, with particular emphasis on ferroelectricity, ferromagnetism, and dielectric behavior. He has published extensively in reputed international journals such as Journal of Power Sources, Journal of Alloys and Compounds, Physica Scripta, Physica Status Solidi A, Applied Nanoscience, Emergent Materials etc. He has also presented his work at various national and international conferences, receiving recognition such as the Best Presenter Award at ICMET-2022.
He has more than 12 years of academic and research experience and has been associated with Vidya Vihar Institute of Technology (VVIT), Purnea, Bihar, since 2012 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. He served as Head of the Department from 2023 to 2025 and has also held responsibilities such as Training and Placement Officer, NAAC Coordinator, and Faculty In-charge for the establishment of Physics and Electronics laboratories under AICTE guidelines.
In addition to his academic contributions, Dr. Kumar serves as a reviewer for several international journals from publishers including Elsevier, Springer, and Bentham Science. His work continues to focus on developing eco-friendly and cost-effective nanomaterials aimed at advancing sustainable energy technologies and next-generation electronic devices.
