Dr. Vinay Pandey is currently working as a Principal Engineer at Mercedes-Benz AG in Stuttgart, Germany, where he leads global initiatives in Autonomous Driving development and validation using cutting-edge digital platforms. He brings over a decade of experience in the automotive and control engineering domains, with deep expertise in controller design, model-based development, vehicle dynamics, embedded systems, and cloud-based platform automation.

He holds a PhD in Adaptive Control Engineering from IIT Guwahati and has authored various research articles on nonlinear control systems. Throughout his career, Dr. Pandey has collaborated with industry leaders such as NVIDIA, DSPACE, Valeo, and AWS to develop and scale digital validation infrastructures across continents—including Germany, the US, China, and India.

As a passionate technophile, he is also exploring the integration of generative AI in autonomous vehicle testing. Dr. Pandey has not only delivered high-impact engineering solutions but also spoken at major conferences like AV’21 and served as a reviewer for top journals from IEEE, Elsevier, and Springer.
