Dr. Samya Sen is a microbiologist with a strong academic and research background. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Techno India University, West Bengal. He holds a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Kalyani, where his research focused on bacterial diversity, antibiotic resistance, and nanotechnology-based antimicrobial strategies. He completed his postdoctoral research at the Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur (IITJ), working on antibacterial peptides, antibiotic adjuvants, and small molecules with therapeutic potential. His research interests encompass antimicrobial nanotechnology, drug design, hydrogels as therapeutic agents, and the gut-brain axis. Over the years, he has contributed to numerous high-impact publications and has filed multiple patents, demonstrating his commitment to innovation in microbiology and biotechnology. Additionally, he has industry experience as a Senior Microbiologist at Lila Agrotech Private Limited, where he applied his expertise to practical, real-world challenges in microbial technology.
