I work at the intersection of technology, engineering, and business—turning emerging technologies into practical, scalable products and manufacturing capabilities.
With 8+ years of experience in Metal Additive Manufacturing and Directed Energy Deposition (DED), my work has evolved from process development into building complete technology systems—from R&D and machine architecture to automation, controls, software, data, and industrial deployment.
I see myself as a Technology Enabler: bringing together people, technologies, and engineering disciplines to solve complex problems and create new capabilities.

I enjoy working on problems where multiple technologies have to come together to create something that did not exist before. My approach is systems-oriented—connecting mechanical engineering, materials, manufacturing, electronics, software, robotics, optics and data to build reliable, scalable solutions.
A key question that drives my work is:
How do we move from proving that a technology works to making it reliable, repeatable, scalable and commercially useful?
My current focus includes the development of large-format Metal 3D Printing systems for high-performance manufacturing, along with advanced automation and manufacturing technologies for industrial applications.
I hold a PhD in Metal Additive Manufacturing from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka and have contributed to 10+ international journal publications, 12+ international conference presentations and several book chapters.

My long-term ambition is to lead technology at the intersection of R&D, product development, advanced manufacturing and business—building technology capabilities that create lasting competitive advantage.
