About
Dr. Indra Neel Pulidindi is currently working on “Carbon fiber reinforced composites (CFRPs)” as a postdoctoral researcher in the laboratory of Prof Xinling Wang at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. Dr Pulidindi worked as a visiting scientist in the laboratory of Prof Tae Hyun Kim at Hanyang University, Republic of Korea during 2016-2017 where he gained expertise on biomass characterization and utilization for biochemials production. He has worked as postdoctoral researcher with Prof. Aharon Gedanken at Bar-Ilan University, Israel from 2010 to 2016, during which he gained experience on the conversion of biomass to biofuels and biochemials and developed nanomaterial based sensors for biomolecules. He obtained Ph.D., degree from IIT Madras, India, an institute of international recognition, in 2010 where he produced the doctoral thesis entitled “Development and exploitation of carbon materials from plant sources” under the supervision of Professor T. K. Varadarajan and Prof. B. Viswanathan. During his Ph D studies, he envisioned as early as 2002 the need for a paradiagm shift from fossil based to biobased reseources for energy and environmental applications and developed relevant materials leading to an issue of a patent. He received his M.Sc., degree from Andhra University, India in 2002. His research interests include Materials Science (includidng CFRPs and carbon materials), Catalysis, Electrochemistry, Renewable Energy, and Nuclear Chemistry. He has published 38 peer-reviewed manuscripts, 1 patent, applied for 4 patents, authored 1 book, 5 book chapters and 1 e-book. His passion is to provide innovative solutions for the societal problems (like energy crisis, environmental pollution, and water crisis by means of utilizing natural resources like solar energy, CO2 and biomass) towards alleviating the suffering of mankind.
