About

Dr. Rutvij H. Jhaveri is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), India. He additionally holds the distinguished position of Visiting Professor at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He completed his Postdoctoral Research from Delta-NTU Corporate Lab for Cyber-Physical Systems, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore in 2019. He completed his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering in 2016 and his Master’s degree in 2012. Apart from numerous academic assignments, he shouldered the responsibility as Head of the Department (IT) in S.V.M. Institute of Technology. In 2024, he received the "Best Ph.D. Supervisor" award, while in 2017, he received the prestigious "Pedagogical Innovation Award" from Gujarat Technological University.

He is among the top 2% of scientists around the world for consecutive 5 years, listed by Stanford University and Elsevier. He authored 200+ articles including over 30 in IEEE/ACM Transactions along with flagship IEEE/ACM conferences. Moreover, he has several national and international patents and, copyrights to his name. He is a senior member of IEEE (SMIEEE). He is a member of the prestigious IEEE IES Technical Committee on Building Automation, Control, and Management. He is an editorial board member in various journals of repute including IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, Scientific Reports (Springer NATURE) and International Journal of Wireless Information Networks (Springer). He also serves as a reviewer in several international journals and as an advisory/TPC member in renowned international conferences. He also possesses memberships of various technical bodies such as ACM, CSI, ISTE, and others. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Smart Cities Air Quality Network. Moreover, he received the "Best Ph.D. Supervisor" award in 2024, and the "Pedagogical Innovation Award" in 2017 from Gujarat Technological University. He also served as a committee member in the "Smart Village Project" - Government of Gujarat, at the district level during the year 2017.
