About
Kanchan Mukherjee is a Professor at the Center for Health Policy, Planning and Management, at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. A clinician with specialization in Public Health (gold medalist) ,he completed a Fogarty Postdoctoral Fellow at UCLA for HIV/AIDS research and a Masters in International Health Policy with distinction in Health Economics from the LSE. He was invited as a Visiting Professor by the University of Liverpool, UK (Liverpool-India Fellowship) and Karolinska Institute, Sweden (Linnaeus-Palme fellowship). He has 20 years of teaching and research experience in health systems and policy analysis, epidemiology, economic evaluation, urban health, HIV and NCDs and over 80 international publications. He is a member of the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) collaborator network, Global Consortium on Public Health Research, International Society of Infectious Disease (ISID), HTAi Asia Policy Forum and institute representative to HTAAsia Link . He is editorial board member of the following journals: BMC Public health, Journal of Quality in Health Care & Economics, International Journal of Epidemiology and Health Sciences, International Journal of Health Systems and Implementation Research, Indian Journal of Social Work and Epidemiology International.
