About
Before joining Core Research Group, PMRC Private Ltd., Dhanbad, I worked as a professor at SMM (KNU) from 2020-2024. I worked as a scientist (rock mechanics) at CSIR-CIMFR, Dhanbad for nearly 35 years, where I led different significant R&D projects in strata mechanics and ground movement for efficient underground coal mining. I did my Ph.D. (1993-96) from the Civil, Environment and Geomatic Engineering Department, University College London (UCL). Also worked as Honorary University Fellow at Camborne School of Mines, UK (2010-11). In my professional career, I have successfully attempted to utilise the basic rock mechanics principles for improvement in practical mining (underground coal) conditions.
