About
I have spent the last decade studying how humans learn, designing AI-powered adaptive learning ecosystems. Today, I am taking everything I know about human cognition and hardcoding it into silicon.
As an AI Systems and Neuromorphic Researcher currently pursuing my M.Sc. in Data Science and AI at BITS Pilani, my goal is to build autonomous systems that don't just process data, but actually learn how to survive, adapt, and gracefully let go of obsolete information.
At Nexus Learning Labs, my primary research focuses on affective Spiking Neural Networks (SNNs). I am the architect of the Maya framework, which introduces what I call "Dual Epistemic Framing." I take ancient cognitive concepts from Advaita Vedanta—like Shraddha (trust), Bhaya (fear), and Vairagya (wisdom)—and translate them into mathematical parameters. My published work proves that AI models learn faster when they experience a computational form of "pain," and that they can avoid catastrophic forgetting by using "wisdom" to selectively protect critical memories while overwriting the rest. I have also successfully deployed these same emotional dynamics as a real-time Operating System arbiter to create emergent safety rules.
I don't just write theoretical papers; I build physical systems. Through my 42-episode open-source engineering series, Project Budha, I document the raw, hands-on engineering of multimodal embodied AI, GPU-accelerated physics engines, and autonomous hardware. This can be viewed on my YouTube channel link provided under 'Websites & social links'.
My ultimate mission is to move Artificial Intelligence beyond rigid, deterministic rules. I am dedicated to building cognitively governed systems that balance the preservation of what truly matters with the wisdom to release what no longer serves them.
