About
I, Dr. Perla Ramesh, am working in the field of Organic Synthesis, Biotransformations, Drug discovery, and the development of new methods at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad. I have developed effective routes to the synthesis of several bioactive molecules and important chiral drug intermediates. I have developed new synthetic methodologies which are simple but effective to obtain enantiomerically pure chiral intermediates. My work explores in detail the various approaches to the problem which include substrate modification, chemical modification of the enzyme, and enzyme immobilization.
