Mr. Sanmati Jinendran Jain works as Assistant Librarian at the Central Library, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. Prior to this role, he served as Library Superintendent at the Indian Institute of Technology Goa. His professional journey also includes significant contributions at esteemed corporate and academic institutions such as Indian Institute for Human Settlements, Bangalore; Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Chennai; Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kancheepuram; and Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur. He qualified for UGC-NET (Assistant Professor) – Library & Information Science in January 2018 and is pursuing his Ph.D. (Part-time) at the Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. He holds B.Sc. (Biochemistry) from Vels University, Chennai; M.Lib.I.Sc. (Library & Information Science) from the University of Madras, Chennai and Post Graduate Diploma in Library Automation & Networking (PGDLAN) from the University of Hyderabad, Telangana. He has been recognized for his academic excellence, receiving the Prof. Parvataneni Gangadhara Rao Memorial Medal for securing the first rank in the M.Lib.I.Sc. programme and Gold Medal for achieving the first rank in the B.Sc. (Biochemistry) programme. His areas of interest include Research Integrity, Altmetrics, and Open Science.
