About
I design circular economy solutions for the most pressing waste management challenges, especially in developing economies.
As a faculty member in Environmental Engineering with over a decade of experience, my work bridges research, education, and implementation—helping cities, industries, and policymakers tackle waste challenges with data-driven, scalable approaches.
My research has quantified how developing countries can address problems of municipal solid waste management by improving collection and segregation measures, supported by a well-designed methodology for setting sanitary landfills, including appropriate siting, design optimisation, and risk assessment, which are outcomes of better engineering.
MY CONTRIBUTION TO INDIA'S GOALS:
Contributing to Vision 2070, Mission 2047, Mission 2030, and SDGs through:
→ Research on waste-to-resource systems
→ Training next-generation environmental engineers
→ Technical consulting for municipal and industrial projects
→ Knowledge translation from global research to Indian contexts
CORE EXPERTISE:
- Solid waste management systems & landfill engineering
- Industrial ecology & circular economy pathways
- Waste-to-energy technologies & biomethanation
- Wastewater treatment & resource recovery
- Environmental data analytics & AI/ML applications
-ESG & sustainability reporting (BRSR compliance)
CURRENT FOCUS:
Bridging the gap between laboratory research and municipal implementation—working with policymakers, utilities, and industries to deploy proven waste management solutions at scale.
CONTRIBUTIONS:
- Published in leading peer-reviewed international journals
- Regular analyst of the latest research from Nature, Elsevier, and global platforms
- Technical consultant on municipal solid waste projects
- Reviewer for international environmental journals
- Faculty training the next generation of environmental engineers on data literacy, policy awareness, and field-grounded problem-solving
I believe the future of environmental engineering lies at the intersection of rigorous science, pragmatic policy, and scalable technology.
📌 Let's connect if you're working on:
