Dr. Umakant Sharma completed his Ph.D. from AIIMS, New Delhi. He was an ICMR-Fellow. He had postdoctoral from University of Minnesota, USA. He was a Research Assistant Professor at University of Miami, USA. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at GITAM University, India. His primary research focuses on metagenomics, metabolomics, cancer, EcoHIV, inflammatory, and infectious diseases and precisely on the development of novel personalized therapy using signature gut microbiome and metabolites for the treatment of Inflammatory bowel diseases and colon cancer.
