About
I am currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) at the Faculty of Engineering, Symbiosis International University, Pune, with over 13 years of experience in teaching and research. My academic journey is shaped by a deep commitment to advancing the field of electrochemical energy storage and conversion.
I have successfully led two undergraduate and two Ph.D. research projects, and I’m presently supervising three Ph.D. scholars working on cutting-edge technologies in batteries and fuel cells. I was honored with the prestigious Dr. D.S. Kothari Post-Doctoral Fellowship by the University Grants Commission (UGC), India.
As Principal Investigator, I have completed a government-sponsored project on Sodium-Ion Batteries (SIBs), focusing on the development of novel polymer-based electrolytes and fabrication/performance evaluation of complete SIB systems. Currently, I am leading two major funded projects:
Lithium-ion battery waste recycling through a green approach (Dassault Systemes Foundation)
Development of novel sulfur cathodes for room-temperature sodium–sulfur batteries (Symbiosis International)
My research expertise lies in structural, thermal, and electrochemical characterization of materials for energy storage applications. I work extensively on the design and performance analysis of electrochemical systems with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
Research Interests:
🔋 Flexible Electrolytes & Electrodes for Electrochemical Applications
⚡ Electrochemistry of Materials
🔬 Electrochemical Devices (Batteries, Supercapacitors, Fuel Cells)
🧪 Nano-Material Synthesis, Characterization & Applications
♻ Recycling of Waste Lithium-Ion Batteries
