Dr. Sayed Gulzar Ganai is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Navi Mumbai, India. His research interests encompass international economics, international trade, development economics, and applied econometrics. His work primarily examines export competitiveness, global value chains, trade specialization, geopolitical fragmentation, and sustainable economic development, with a particular focus on emerging and developing economies.
His research employs advanced econometric techniques, including panel data models, ARDL and NARDL approaches, cross-sectional dependence estimators, quantile regression, and time-series methods to investigate trade performance, economic growth, energy transition, environmental sustainability, and income inequality. His publications have appeared in leading peer-reviewed international journals, contributing to policy discussions on trade competitiveness, industrial transformation, renewable energy, and human capital development.
