About

After working in field of Tropical Medicine for 10 years I went to AIIMS, Delhi to study DM in Infectious Disease. In January 2020 I have completed it and returned to Kolkata but within a month COVID pandemic started in India and I was transferred to COVID Hospital at ID Hospital. There I have been working in wards, ICU from March 2020 till today. Meanwhile I have deputed to multiple COVID hospitals like MR Bangur, CNCI Rajarhat to streamline their functioning. I was made in charge of the Covid intensive care unit. I have been working with CSIR, ICMR to run various randomized controlled trial, data management projects, immunological monitoring in COVID care. Now I am posted at IPGMER-SSKM Hospital a state run super-specialty hospital at Kolkata as Associate Professor Infectious Disease.
On 25 th July 2022 I was awarded the bangabhushan award which is actually the 2nd highest civilian award for the state given by Government of West Bengal.
