Dr. Punarjit Roychowdhury is Associate Professor of Economics at Shiv Nadar University, Delhi NCR, India. Formerly, he was Assistant Professor at the Nottingham University Business School, University of Nottingham, UK and at the Indian Institute of Management, Indore. Dr. Roychowdhury has obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from the Southern Methodist University, USA in 2017. Primarily an applied microeconomist, his research interests lie in the fields of development economics, labour economics, and economic demography. Dr. Roychowdhury holds a first class Bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Calcutta, and a first class Master’s degree in applied economics from Presidency College, Calcutta.
