About

Major research focus on different domains of engineering management. In the area of quality, the process capability studies as generic manufacturing process for univariate quality characteristic has been carried out, where a detailed comparison has been made on available process capability indices. Quality of work-life & leadership style in SME’s has been studied for various comparisons. These works have culminated in five PhDs.

Recently started focusing on the development of safety indices for major hazardous industries, specifically studying safety parameters and its relationship with safety infrastructure.

Another recent area of research which focuses on lean manufacturing and its relationship with the quality of work-life parameter gives insight for the human resource issues with the lean manufacturing in foundry industries.

We have started working on engineering stream which covers varied areas like biodiesel and composite materials. Having implemented good number of projects in the area of biodiesel with the support of Department of Science and Technology. Further to the above, we are studying developing alternative fuels taking initiatives in the area of biodiesel.

Initiated MOUs with industries from different sectors, to accelerate the industry based research.
