About
Prashant Das is the Chairperson and an Associate Professor of Finance at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad. Earlier he served as an Associate Professor and the Director of Real Estate, Finance & Economics (REFE) Institute at EHL, Switzerland. At EHL, he served on the Academic Board beyond teaching Master’s and Bachelor’s level courses in real estate finance, appraisal and investment. Since June 2020, he serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Property Research (Taylor & Francis, UK) and the Journal of Sustainable Real Estate (American Real Estate Society). His research interests include commercial real estate (REITs, CMBS, hotels and apartments in particular), behavioral real estate and sustainability. He has a special interest in real estate markets of India.
Prashant received his Ph.D. (Business/ Real Estate) from Georgia State University, Atlanta; M.S. (Land Development) from Texas A&M University (College Station, USA) and B.S. (Architecture) from IIT Roorkee (India). Earlier, he served on managerial and engineering roles with several firms/organizations including HCL Infosystems Ltd. and Tata Consultancy Services.
