About
Dr. Khalid Raza is currently working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Jamia Millia Islamia (Central University), New Delhi, India. He was on foreign deputation during the academic session 2017-2018 and worked as a Visiting Professor (ICCR Chair) at the Faculty of Computer & Information Sciences, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. Dr. Raza has over 13 years of teaching and research experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Applications, cleared UGC-NET-JRF conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC), India, and completed his PhD in the area of Soft Computing and Computational Biology from Jamia Millia Islamia in the year 2014. The title of his PhD thesis was "Soft Computing Approach for Modeling Biological Networks". He has contributed over 110 peer-reviewed research articles in refereed international journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters. Dr. Raza has authored/edited 6 Books published by reputed publishers like Springer-Nature, Elsevier, and CRC Press. Dr. Raza is an Academic Editor of PeerJ Computer Science International Journal, and Guest Editor of the Journal Natural Product Communications. He has an active collaboration with scientists from leading institutions in India and abroad, including AIIMS (New Delhi), ICMR-NIP, CSIR-IGIB, DRDO-INMAS, NIPGR, CCRUM, DPSRU, UFMG (Brazil), UoT Sydney (Australia), etc. He has received grants for two Govt. funded research projects and worked as Principal Investigator. He is the recipient of the Indian Academy of Sciences Faculty Summer Research Fellowship. He is a reviewer of several international journals and a member of several conference review committees. Recently, Dr. Raza has been featured in the list of Top 2% Scientists released by Stanford University (USA) in collaboration with Elsevier.
He is a member of ACM, Life Member of the Computer Society of India (CSI) and Soft Computing Research Society , Regular Member of Machine Intelligence Research (MIR) Lab., and Regular Member of Indian Science Congress Association. He has delivered several invited talks, and keynote addresses in the conferences/workshops.
