About

Dr. Pawan Prabhakar is a nanotech and life science professional working in the area of phytopharmaceuticals, nanotechnology and entrepreneurship. He pursued his PhD degree in ethnomedicinal phytopharmaceuticals from prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, Kharagpur, India. Currently, Dr. Prabhakar is working as Sanjay Bhowmick Chair-Professor of Strategy, Sustainability and Entrepreneurship and assistant professor of technology, innovation and entrepreneurship at School of Business, Woxsen University, Hyderabad, India. He is also serving as Director, PhD-Program, School of Business, Woxsen University, Hyderabad, India.

After completing B.Tech-M.Tech in Nanotechnology from Central University of Jharkhand, he worked as Project Assistant and Junior Research Fellow in Govt. of India Funded Projects at KIIT University and NIT Rourkela and, later on selected to pursue PhD at IIT Kharagpur in 2018. Apart from his area of specialization in nanotechnology, he has also built-up a sound background in nanomaterial synthesis and its characterization, plant biotechnology, secondary metabolites extraction and characterization, development of novel herbal drug and sustainable food formulations and innovative product development.

Dr. Pawan Prabhakar is recipient of many awards, honors and grants throughout his academic career including Visiting Scientist, Young Scientist Award, Green Leadership Award, Best Professor Award, Research Excellence Award, Outstanding Paper Award, Research Award of Excellence, FEBS and DST international travel grants to visit Germany and USA, Visiting Fellow-TMU, Taiwan. In addition, he is a member of prestigious professional bodies including Royal Society of Chemistry, UK (RSC), American Chemical Society, USA (ACS), USA and ESDA & ERDA, India. His activities and accomplishments include key note speakers in EDP, FDP and MDP, conferences, seminar, workshop, training and the publication of research articles, review papers and book chapters in reputed international publishing houses including Elsevier, Springer and Taylor & Francis.
