About

Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh is a Chief Scientist at the Advanced Carbon Products and Metrology Section, CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi, India, and Professor at the Academy of Scientific and Industrial Research (AcSIR), India. With a PhD from IIT Delhi and M.Tech from IIT Kanpur, he has over 21 years of research experience in the Advanced Carbon Products. His expertise spans the large-scale synthesis of carbon nanostructures, advanced nanocomposites for structural applications, anode materials for Li-ion batteries, high performance EMI shielding materials, ballistic materials, and flexible thermoelectrics. Dr. Singh has published 173 research articles in leading international journals, accumulating over 11700 citations and an h-index of 56 (As per Google Scholar). His academic contributions include, two books, 14 book chapters and 4 patents. As a mentor, he has guided nine PhD students and currently supervising 8 more. Additionally, Dr. Singh has successfully licensed his technology for synthesizing CNTs and producing CNT paper.
Dr. Singh’s work has been recognized with numerous prestigious awards, including BD Bangur Award (2023) for his contribution to Carbon Science and Technology, the Raman Research Fellowship (2023-24), the NRDC National Meritorious Innovation Award (2018), the IEI Young Engineer Award (2017), the CSIR-Young Scientist Award in Engineering Sciences (2015), and the HEAM Young Scientist Award (2014).
