About

I, Raihan Uddin, am a Doctoral Researcher under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) at the University of Cagliari, Italy, which serves as the host institution of my MSCA fellowship. My work focuses on developing a secure-by-design, data-driven Digital Twin architecture leveraging IoT technologies to support smart distribution networks and energy communities. This research aims to enable active prosumer participation by promoting smart energy management in distribution networks and facilitating the efficient integration of renewable energy within energy communities.

As part of my MSCA fellowship, I will undertake international secondments aimed at strengthening both the academic and industrial dimensions of my research. My first planned secondment is at Aalto University, Finland, where I will explore innovative prosumer-centric market models in distribution networks. My second planned secondment is at Siemens Energy, Norway, where I will focus on integrating advanced statistical and data-driven models for cyber-attack detection at the network edge.

Previously, I worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the MCSL Lab, Department of Electrical, Electronic, and Computer Engineering, University of Ulsan, South Korea. There, I conducted research on IoT networks, strengthening my skills in research methodology, problem-solving, and applied network technologies.

After completing my Master’s degree, I gained industrial research experience through a research internship at IDRO, which enhanced my exposure to industry-oriented research and real-world problem-solving in an international environment. I subsequently worked as a full-time researcher at Enersys in South Korea before joining the MSCA fellowship, where I contributed to applied R&D activities.

I aim to build a long-term career in research and innovation, continuously advancing my technical expertise while contributing to cutting-edge technological developments in collaborative environments.
