About
Shubhankar Majumdar (Senior Member, IEEE) received a Ph.D. degree in RF Microelectronics from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, in 2016. In Dec 2017, he joined National Institute of Technology Meghalaya as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. He has received more than 10 awards till date some of those are Visvesvaraya Young Faculty Research Fellowship (YFRF) from Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) India in the year of 2025, Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions Seal of Excellence award from the European Commission in the year of 2018, two postdoctoral scholarships from the Italian Government and the SERB DST National Postdoctoral Fellowship (NPDF) sponsored by Government of India in the year of 2017, and GATE fellowship sponsored by MHRD, Government of India for pursuing an M.Tech and PhD at IIT Kharagpur in the year 2010 and 2012 respectively. Further, he is a mentor of a start-up Incubation company, namely SOIL Agritech Private Limited which is located in Raipur, Chattisgarh, India. He has secured more than $1 million USD from various funding agencies for executing more than 15 projects which includes International and national collaborative projects. He has supervised as sole supervisor 7 PhD , 7 Master's, and 25 UG students have been graduated and 8 PhD, 3 Master's and 4 UG students are working under his guidance. He has authored more than 100 articles published in renowned journals like Nature, IEEE etc. Additionally, he has authored a textbook on Signals and Systems: An Introduction for Communication Engineering,(ISBN: 999934108X). Furthermore, he has published more than 50 peer-reviewed book chapters and IEEE conference proceedings papers and 3 granted Indian patents. He has given over 50 invited talks (excluding conference paper presentations). He has been enlisted several times in the Golden Reviewer list of IEEE Transactions on Electronic Devices. His research interests include GaN HEMT based Power Amplifier Design, RFIC, PMIC, SoC, Device Circuit co-design framework, Semiconductor Device Modelling/ Fabrication / Measurement, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Automation of Devices, Circuits and Systems, Real-time system development, and Non-Destructive Testing. He has nominated as an IETE Fellow in 2026. He is an associate editor of the International Journal of Optomechatronics (Taylor and Francis), SN Computer Science (Springer), Engineering Reports (Wiley) and a review editor of Frontiers in Integrated Circuits and VLSI. He serves as a Reviewer of several journals like IEEE TCAS1, IEEE TCAS2, IEEE MWTL, IEEE TAP, IEEE TMTT, IEEE TIM, IEEE TED, IEEE EDL, IEEE TDMR, IEEE MWCL, IEEE TSMC, IEEE TNano, etc. He has been a technical program committee member at IEEE’s international conferences, including ISVLSI, ISCAS, VLSID, IMS, etc.
