Dr. Mahiuddin Alamgir is an experienced researcher and academic specializing in climate change, hydrology, hydrogeology, and environmental science, with over 15 years of combined academic and research experience. He is currently serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Dr. Alamgir’s research focuses on data-driven climate and hydrological analysis using global and regional datasets such as CMIP6, ERA5, and ORAS5, emphasizing climate modeling, drought assessment, hydrological simulation, and sustainable water management. His work integrates advanced tools and techniques in remote sensing, GIS, and statistical modeling, contributing to innovative solutions in disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation. Throughout his career, Dr. Alamgir has demonstrated strong leadership in managing and coordinating numerous national and international projects funded by organizations such as the World Bank, USAID, and the Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research (APN). He has also collaborated extensively with various government ministries and agencies to promote sustainable water and environmental management practices. Dr. Alamgir has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and numerous conference papers, reports, and working papers. He has actively participated in various seminars, symposiums, and workshops at both national and international levels, contributing to policy development, project evaluation, and knowledge sharing in the fields of water resources, environment, and climate change adaptation.
