About
Siyi is a research assistant at the University of Exeter, where her work focuses on GWAS of epigenetic age acceleration.
She completed her BSc in Veterinary Pharmacy at Nanjing Agricultural University in China, during which time she developed a strong interest in cell biology. As part of her undergraduate studies, she conducted an independent research project on exosomes, delving into their role and significance. This experience deepened her understanding of cell biology and sparked her passion for research.
Subsequently, Siyi pursued an MSc in Bioinformatics at the University of Glasgow, where she excelled and graduated with distinction. Her thesis project centered around the integration of scRNAseq data and bulk RNAseq data, showcasing her expertise in data analysis and interpretation. Siyi's outstanding academic performance during her MSc studies earned her Scotland's Saltire Scholarship and The Best Bioinformatics Project recognition.
With a solid educational foundation and a keen focus on advancing her knowledge and skills, Siyi is committed to contributing to the field of genomics research and making meaningful contributions to the understanding of epigenetic age acceleration.
