About
I am a PhD research scholar at Centre for Urban Science and Engineering (CUSE), Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB). I did M.Tech in Remote Sensing and GIS with specialization in Human Settlement Analysis from Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS, ISRO) and Andhra University (AU). I did B.Tech in Planning from School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNA&FAU). I keep my endeavours in the field of Remote Sensing (RS) and Geographic Information System (GIS) aspects of urban and regional planning, where my talent rightly fits in. Thus, my technical expertise serving the urban planning sector as well as allowing me to enhance in the new dimensions of city planning.
My research goal is to understand the radar signal interactions with different types of urban forms in flooded and non-flooded conditions using Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) remote sensing and physical scattering models. My approach is to implement the Machine Learning (ML) based classification algorithms on multi-temporal earth observation datasets for understanding the urban flood dynamics.
