Then I was awarded the CSIR-UGC NET-JRF in 2009 and joined the group of Dr. P. Jaisankar at CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Kolkata to pursue doctoral studies. During my doctoral studies I had the opportunity to work with renowned scientist Prof. Hiroshi Sugiyama in Kyoto University, Japan as PhD internship student. I was awarded PhD degree on 5th august, 2015. Then I was awarded CSIR-RA by CSIR, India to pursue postdoctoral research on enzyme catalysis at CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Kolkata; followed by SERB N-PDF for doing research on development of fluorescent probes for cancer diagnostic at CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad.
