About
I am Dr. S. Pradeep, Assistant Professor of Entomology at Vanavarayar Institute of Agriculture. My teaching and research activities focus on agricultural entomology, apiculture, pollinator health, insect toxicology, pesticide risk assessment, and integrated pest management. I am particularly interested in understanding the interactions between pesticides, beneficial microorganisms, and honey bees, with the aim of developing sustainable strategies to improve pollinator health and agricultural productivity.
My research includes the isolation and characterization of bee-associated microorganisms, evaluation of pesticide toxicity and sublethal effects on pollinators, and the development of microbial-based approaches to mitigate pesticide-induced stress in honey bees. I am committed to promoting sustainable agriculture through research, teaching, scientific communication, and the conservation of pollinators and other beneficial insects.
In addition to my academic responsibilities, I actively contribute to scientific publishing and peer-review activities, supporting the advancement of research in entomology, apiculture, and sustainable crop protection.
