About

Looking for a Research Role in R&D (PhD Thesis Submitted)

📍 PhD in Chemical Engineering | Electrochemical Sensors | Water Treatment | Nanomaterials

I am a motivated researcher with a PhD (thesis submitted) in Chemical Engineering from BITS Pilani, Rajasthan, where my work focused on synthesis and fabrication of novel electrode materials for electrochemical detection of lead and other heavy metals in water. Under supervision of Dr. Somak Chatterjee, I developed and optimized electrochemical sensors, electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reactions (HER) and multifunctional materials, such as, MOF and polymer-based adsorbents and membranes for wastewater treatment targeting dyes, salts and organic/inorganic pollutants.

🔬 My technical expertise spans:
• Electrochemical techniques (CV, LSV, EIS, DPASV, Chronoamperometry)
• Fabrication and testing of electrochemical sensors and HER catalysts
• Development of nanocomposites, electrospun membranes & hollow fibers
• Characterization tools: FESEM, TEM, FTIR, TGA, XRD, XPS, Raman, ICP-MS, AAS
• Batch filtration, electrochemical workstations and sensor integration

🧪 Industry-Academia Experience:

Worked as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on an industry-sponsored project (MKS Vision Group, USA) at BITS-Pilani, focused on multifunctional nanocoatings for industrial applications.

Served as a Teaching Assistant, conducting tutorials, assessments, and departmental tasks like documentation, social media and website management.

📚 Past Research Experience:

Project Assistant (PA-III & SPA) at CSIR–CEERI, Pilani, where I gained hands-on experience in device packaging and sensor fabrication for:
• MEMS-based pressure sensors for ventilators (COVID-19 project)
• CNTFETs, HEMTs and EMAT sensors (REIL Jaipur-sponsored project)

M.Tech Research Intern at CSIR–CEERI under Dr. Pankaj B. Agarwal, working on CNT-based chemiresistors for NO₂ detection with in-depth characterization (AFM, FESEM, Raman).

🧰 Additional Skills:
Problem-solving
Analytical skills and mind-set
Attention to detail
Project management
Cross-functional collaboration
Teamwork and leadership
Communication and presentation skills
Proposal writing, patent drafting and documentation

đź’ˇ Research Interests:
Electrochemical sensors, nanomaterials, HER/OER catalysis, wastewater treatment, semiconductors, device fabrication and smart sensing platforms for environmental and healthcare monitoring.
