About
Dr Vivekanand is in Worlds Top 2% Scientists list (Elsevier & Stanford Univ, USA) in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025; Associate Dean (Dig Outreach) and Assistant Professor (Ramalingaswami Re-Entry Fellow; Highly prestigious fellowship- DBT, GoI). He has three ongoing international projects, Indo-EU, Indo-Sweden, Indo-Russia and Indo-Egypt, in wastewater and Biogas. He has completed Indo-Austria, and other 3 nationally funded project in the area of Biomass to Biogas. He has been awarded grant from The Royal Society of Arts and Sciences at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. With ongoing (4) and completed (4) research projects, the group mainly focuses on renewable fuels through innovative bioconversion technologies. It involves a wide range of bioprocessing, pretreatment, enzymatic saccharification, biomass characterisation and wastewater treatment for enhancing bioenergy production. He worked as a senior postdoctoral research scientist in Sweden and Norway (8 years) and has published >141 SCI international peer-reviewed papers (>6800 citations, h-index 46), >30 conf and 37 book chapters. The group also deals with consultancy projects and is Internationally renowned in the area of Biomass to Biogas research.
