Dr. Umakanta Mishra is an accomplished academician and internationally recognized researcher in Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Inventory Optimization, Sustainable Supply Chain Management, Circular Economy, and Green Manufacturing Systems. He is currently serving as Associate Professor of Mathematics at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, a position he has held since May 2019.
Prior to joining VIT, he served as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at ICFAI University, Tripura, and earlier as Lecturer and Assistant Professor at institutions in Odisha. His academic career spans more than 17 years of teaching, research, and international collaboration.
