Dr. Jasgurpreet Singh Chohan is working as Professor at Marwadi University, Rajkot, India since July 2025. He has worked as Director (Entrepreneurship) at Rayat Bahra university from May 2024 to July 2025. Previously, he has worked as CEO at Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator and Professor at University Centre for Research and Development at Chandigarh University, India since October 2017. Dr. Chohan performed his doctoral research on improvement of surface characteristics of hip implants fabricated through 3d printing process. He has more than 16 years of experience in research and teaching at graduate and post graduate level. He has supervised three Phd Scholars, twenty post graduate dissertations and currently mentoring two PhD research scholars. His areas of specialization are Additive Manufacturing, Hybrid Machining, Biomedical implants, Advanced Composites, Metamaterials, Human Factor Engineering and Multi-criteria Decision Making. Dr. Chohan received prestigious CII Milca Award in 2022 for performing outstanding research and mentoring the innovations in Additive Manufacturing. He has authored 16 books chapters and published more than 115 articles in international Journals and Conferences. Dr. Chohan has filed 17 patents out of which 6 have been granted. In October 2024, he was named in the World’s Top 2% scientists list by Stanford University. Furthermore, he is mentoring seven startups in the domain of Manufacturing, Healthcare, and smart solutions.
