Dr. Abhijith R. Rao is a clinician-scientist specializing in Geriatric Medicine and Geriatric Oncology. His research primarily focuses on sarcopenia, cognitive aging, dementia, and geriatric oncology, with a particular emphasis on aging-related biomarkers and health outcomes in older adults. He has extensive experience utilizing large population-based datasets, including the Longitudinal Aging Study in India (LASI) and LASI-DAD (Harmonized Cognitive Aging Study), to explore determinants of physical and cognitive health in older adults.
