About
Dr. Manjaree Pandit is currently Dean Academics & Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, MITS, Gwalior. She has done her graduation and post graduation from MANIT, Bhopal and has been with MITS for 33 years. Dr Pandit is actively engaged in research in the area of applications of bio inspired computational methods to electrical power system optimization. She has published more than 60 papers in International Journals of repute, guided more than 60 PG dissertations and 04 Ph.D candidates. She has presented/published more than 150 papers in renowned National/international conferences She has successfully completed research projects sponsored by the Indian central funding agencies like DST, UGC and AICTE, has been involved in conducting a number of National Conferences, workshops and short-term courses.
She has received ISTE, New Delhi, India National Research Award for year 2002 and also National Award for promising Engineering Teacher for the year 2004, a certificate of Merit from Institution of Engineers, for the same year.
She has also received research award from UGC, New Delhi, India for carrying out post doctoral work during 2009-11which included full salary for the period and a research grant.
Dr. Pandit is a senior member of Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), USA, Fellow of technical societies like the IETE (Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, India), Institution of Engineers (IE) (India) & life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), New Delhi, India.
