About
Dr. Das earned his Ph.D. from IIEST Shibpur, India, under the supervision of Prof. Shyamaprosad Goswami. Following his doctoral research, he joined the group of Prof. Yasuhiro Shiraishi at Osaka University, Japan, as a postdoctoral fellow (October 2016–March 2017). In the same year, he was awarded the prestigious Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (May 2017–April 2019) at the University of Siegen, Germany, where he worked with Prof. Dr. Heiko Ihmels on DNA binding, intercalator–receptor conjugates, light-up probes, and dual-mode chemosensors. Subsequently, in May 2019, he received the University of Bordeaux Initiative of Excellence (IdEx) Postdoctoral Fellowship to work with Dr. Nathan D. McClenaghan at CNRS/Université de Bordeaux, France.
Currently, Dr. Das is an Associate Professor at CHRIST University, Bengaluru, India, where he is actively engaged in teaching and research. He presently supervises five Ph.D. scholars (with one Ph.D. degree awarded), two full-time project students, and several graduate and postgraduate students. His research is supported by external funding agencies, including SERB-SURE, DST, Government of India (₹30 lakhs, PI), and VGST, DST, Government of Karnataka (₹20 lakhs, Co-PI), as well as internal funding from CHRIST University (₹10 lakhs, PI). He is also associated with the editorial boards of several reputed international journals, serves as a Guest Editor, and acts as a reviewer for prestigious journals published by ACS, RSC, Wiley, Elsevier, and Springer.
