Prof. Umesh Kumar Singh is serving as Professor and Coordinator at Centre of Environmental Studies, University of Allahabad, Prayagraj,
India. He has received his postdoctoral training in Environmental Engineering from Kansas State University, Manhattan, USA. Dr. Singh has been enlisted as World’s Top 2% Scientist published by Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier. He has received Ph.D. degree (Environmental Science) from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. His fields of specialization are hydrogeology, geochemistry, water and soil pollution, human health risk assessment, solid waste management and climate change. He has done extensive research in the areas of arsenic and fluoride pollution, heavy metals pollution in groundwater and surface water bodies and its health effects, river geochemistry, and impact of climate change on water resources. He has to his credit many research papers published in refereed international and national journals/ edited books. He has also a patent in the field of fluoride removal from the contaminated groundwater.
