ARIJIT SANKAR MONDAL

About

Arijit Sankar Mondal is a Junior Research Fellow at the School of Applied Sciences & Technology, Gujarat Technological University, where he is actively involved in research in cell culture, molecular biology, and applied biomedical sciences. His current work focuses on in vitro animal cell culture models, molecular assays, and experimental strategies to investigate cellular responses to microbial factors and bioactive compounds.

He has a strong background in microbiology, molecular biology, and biomedical sciences, with hands-on expertise in animal cell culture, flow cytometry, apoptosis and proliferation assays, nucleic acid-based techniques, and microbial analysis. His academic interests extend to antimicrobial resistance, host–microbe interactions, algae-derived bioactive compounds, and translational biomedical research.

Arijit has authored and co-authored peer-reviewed publications indexed in Google Scholar, contributing to studies on microbial dysbiosis, natural product–based therapeutics, and disease-associated molecular mechanisms, including research highlighting the anticancer and therapeutic potential of algal metabolites. His work reflects an interdisciplinary and translational approach that integrates algal biotechnology, microbial biology, and host cellular systems.

With demonstrated experience in experimental design, data analysis, scientific writing, and systematic literature review, he continues to pursue research aimed at advancing biology-driven therapeutic strategies and addressing critical challenges in human health and disease.
