Prof. Abhay H Pande is affiliated to the Department of Biotechnology, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, SAS Nagar. Prof. Pande completed his M.Sc. degree in Biochemistry (from Nagpur University) and obtained his Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences (from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore). He then worked as a post-doctoral researcher at prestigious national and international laboratories. Subsequently, he joined as a Lecturer at the Department of Biological Sciences, BITS-Pilani. Later, Prof. Pande moved to NIPER, SAS Nagar where he established his research group which is involved in the development of protein biopharmaceuticals (https://sites.google.com/site/drabhayhpande). Prof. Pande has extensive experience (> 25 years) in the field of protein research (biochemistry, bioinformatics and biotechnology). He is applying his experience to comprehend the structure and function of clinically important proteins, as well as to engineer and develop therapeutic proteins. Prof. Pande’s efforts resulted in the generation of a variety of novel protein biopharmaceuticals that are at different stages of their development. His contribution to the field is also documented by way of a number of patents filed (both nationally and internationally) as well as articles published in the international journal of repute. Prof. Pande also works as a reviewer for reputed professional journals and is having an active association with different societies and academies around the world. He also has extensive administrative expertise as he has served as a chairman, secretary, or member of several statutory and non-statutory committees. Prof. Abhay H. Pande made his mark in the scientific community with the contributions and widely recognition from honorable subject experts around the world and he has received several awards for the contributions to the scientific community.
