About
Prof. Mirza R. Baig is an accomplished academician and researcher currently serving as the Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at Dubai Medical University. He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Pharmacy from the prestigious University Science Malaysia (USM), Malaysia, and brings with him over 23 years of international teaching and research experience spanning Malaysia, India, and the United Arab Emirates.
A prolific scholar, Dr. Baig has made significant contributions to the field of clinical pharmacy and pharmaceutical care. He holds one German patent and two U.S. patents in collaboration with King Abdulaziz University (KAAU), Saudi Arabia, demonstrating his innovative research expertise. He has also authored and edited seven books in the areas of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Care, further contributing to academic and professional education in the discipline.
Dr. Baig’s research productivity is reflected in his extensive publication record, comprising around 120 research papers and articles in reputable international journals. His research interests encompass pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacovigilance, drug safety and efficacy, drug utilization studies, and public health.
He is a sought-after speaker and has been invited to serve as a chairperson, keynote speaker, and moderator at numerous international conferences and seminars. In recognition of his expertise, Dr. Baig serves on the editorial boards of several international journals and acts as a peer reviewer for multiple Elsevier journals. He has also guided and supervised a large number of Master’s and Ph.D. students, and has served as an external examiner for postgraduate theses at various Indian and international universities.
