About
During the postdoctoral studies through Ohio University, I was involved with MOLLER experiment at Jefferson Lab. I have gathered experience working on modern VXS based electronic modules and data acquisition systems. I participated in setting up the detector test stand and setting up data acquisition system and had assembled the test stand for integrating DAQ that are intended to use for MOLLER experiment at Hall A at JLab. I had participated in data taking and was responsible for monitoring the charge asymmetry and feedback both for Hall A & Hall C data taking.
During my PhD, I started the development of bakelite RPC (Resistive Plate Chamber) detectors from scratch using commercially available bakelite plates in the lab. The work includes the measurement of basic characteristics such as efficiency, noise rate, time resolution, rate handling capability, long term stability, etc. Several RPC modules have been fabricated using different grades of bakelite and tested in the lab. I have also performed software development for CBM experiment. I am also interested in doing physics simulation.
I have also worked on the study of cosmic rays using plastic scintillation detectors. The effect of the concentration of air pollutants on the cosmic ray muon flux is being studied. Continuous monitoring of the cosmic ray flux and its variation with other parameters is also performed.
I have experience with the GEM (Gas Electron Multiplier) detector and did some characterization studies.
