About
Dr. Ravi K. Biroju obtained his PhD (Nanotechnology) from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in 2016. Presently, he is serving as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade-1). In past, he worked as a SASPRO2 Marie-Sklodowska-Curie Research Fellow (Co-Fund actions) at the Centre for Nanodiagnostics of Materials, Slovakia University of Science and Technology, Bratislava, SK. For the first time, he was a Marie-Sklodowska-Curie Individual Research Fellow at the Nanoscale Physics Research Laboratory, University of Birmingham, UK. His current research work includes catalysis and energy harvesting applications of two-dimensional (2D) layered nanomaterials. Previously, he worked as a Postdoc fellow at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Centre for Interdisciplinary Sciences. His PhD thesis was on the fabrication and characterization of CVD graphene and its hybrid nanostructures for photoconductive and photocatalytic applications. His research interests are Graphene, 2D Semiconducting van der Walls solids such as semiconducting transition metal dichalcogenides, Graphene Plasmonics, Semiconductor Nanowires, Defects and Defect Related Properties, Optoelectronics, Photocatalysis and Photoelectrocatalysis.
