DR. SOFIA DEVI SHAMURAILATPAM

About

Currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Banking and Insurance, Faculty of Commerce, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Worked as a Research Assistant in the Reserve Bank of India Endowment Unit of the University. I have PhD in Economics with specialization in the area of Banking Sectors. I have completed M.A. in Economics (Econometrics) and secured three Gold Medals. I have published more than a dozen of research papers and some of them are in reputed journals. I am the co- author of the book entitled " Banking Sector Reforms in India", published by Palgrave Macmillan, UK (2017). My area of interest is particularly in banking and finance with focus on policy perspectives of economy. Other areas of interest include among others the agricultural economics, finance in the area of corporate governance and contemporary issues on sustainability.
